Hey all, this show went really smoothly. it started late at 8:30 but Azlan let all the bands know they'd have to play shorter sets and everyone obliged and worked together to backline and help set up and tear down. Taxa finished their set at 11 on the dot. 5 bands in 2 1/2 hours. I had to tell a few people not to drink outside during the gig but they were all respectful and I didn't recognize them so I have a feeling it was just them not knowing why it was an issue etc etc.
SOLD OUT of PBR and cider and we have 2 3/4 cases of Coors leftthe bar made $253
We have $185 (with float) from door
I was really tired yesterday and flustered by the commotion outside from tear down/people partying. We had just under 400 at the end of the night, this was before i took out float, so I split it 50/50 to account for the extra money we were giving Azlan for the Coors/TP/gas ($70) He thought that was a bit short because he wanted to use the door money to give $100 to the touring bands and $20 to all 4 local bands. We settled on $200 plus he got 2 cases of the Coors. It was a screw up on my part, because the $400 number was with our float, which we were giving him to cover the beer. I should've taken float out of the box before I did the count with him, I'm sorry. I don't think he was trying to pull anything shady. Just misunderstanding of what all the totals were and me being distracted didn't have the capacity to explain everything properly and rushed through it.
That kinda sucked but it wasn't Azlan's fault, it was just too hectic for me to stay on top of everything as best I could. Next time I'll wait until after most of the crowd has left or at least the music is off so I can focus better. He was really happy with the show and offered himself up to volunteer if we're ever short, probably have a good beer hook up now as well. Probably worth asking him if he would mind reaching out for some more for the volunteer appreciation night?
I tried editing the explanation of the door situation to make it as non-muddled as possible but its still confusing so if theres any questions just lemme know and i'll do my best to clarify everything.
hope yall had a night Saturday! i'm off to langley

I spoke with Jakob he said he's ok with it, Lindsay suggested we have a collective member available for the night too, Jakob said he could be down to take that on.
I can text around too... If anyone has strong feelings about not doing it (legs expressed some) please let me know.
Legs: in response, we had a show this week, Bryan did it, there were like 3-5 paying people, we made 12$ on bar, and 20$ on door. I think it would be ok to do a show. It was pretty mellow.
Also, Azlan has a hook-up to cheap beer, so I think we might want to build that relationship? I was going to see if he would give us his contact if it all planned out for their beer run tonight.

Hey there was a slight misunderstanding and those guys posted that the show is happening at black lab tomorrow, I wrote to them and told them it's not approved yet, they will change it I'm sure, just didn't want anyone to worry!

My first reaction is that maybe no because it's not enough notice, and also because I feel like we shouldnt have too many shows in one week. But then again I am a bit out of the loop so I don't know how many shows exactly per week have been happening.

hello
333 got shut down I guess, they have a show tomorrow with bands that have a diverse lineup (women, queer folks poc).
They asked if they can move it to black lab (they also warned we may get flooded with requests soon). Mick is playing so he can bottomline. FYI I trained him with Bryan yesterday too, but if someone wants to help him that would be good, here's the Facebook there is a touring band local draw is taxa
