[Blacklabcollective] long knife oct 27

Yeah, it's all good.

I have no more objections about her booking through the black lab.

And just to clarify, the reason I had hesitations in the first place is
because she learned of the assault, the owners response, and subsequent
bragging on Facebook, and did not move her two upcoming shows from his
venue (Radioactivity tonight and Worriers Nov 10). I was not holding her
responsible for his actions, however felt like she should be accountable to
her decisions and choices made when she knew what he had done.

Also I was also a bit miffed because I tried to start a dialogue with her
to which she did not respond.

>From your email Lindsay, I would just say that, while it is out of her
control to make him accountable, it is in her control to choose how she
interacts with that club, that person, based on his actions, or in this
case, inactions and frank shitheadedness. In this case, her choice was to
not move those shows from the Cobalt, and continue to support him
indirectly, and directly, because of this.

I am not saying I know the perfect way in which she should have proceeded,
I am only saying I am bummed that she chose to do nothing.

But if that's how Lana feels then I totally respect her feelings.

Please don't take this in any negative tone toward any of you, I only
wanted to explain myself so I don't seem like I'm witchunting, or whatever
verb you wanna use. I'm mostly tired of shitty dudes not being held
accountable to their shittiness because it might create drama, or ruin a
show, or whatever.

And I was mostly concerned that if we supported someone booking a show at a
venue we were involved in, how many reservations will that person has
against booking sketchy bands

Hope that clears things up

Legs
