[Blacklabcollective] Next meeting Tues Nov 17?

I'm feeling much better and will attend the meeting, I was in a depressed
slump but for the record what I was feeling super shitty about is that I
have recently experienced more than usual racism and I have been finding
topics around this stuff especially difficult recently. I wasn't sure how a
conversation about adding a poc to the collective would pan out and I got
nervous about it. But now I feel confident it will go well.

Where I'm at right now, just because I'm feeling a bit sensitive about this
stuff and it might be helpful for you to know this if/when we talk about
this, is that there is a lot of fear and harpers islamaphobic introductions
were actually pretty damaging. Also, stuff like the Paris attack is a
reminder that whenever things like that happen, I'm worried for myself, for
my family (my dad wears a turban and becomes a target) and for other people
who could look/are Arab/Muslim. It's personal more than it is a political
point of view.

Thanks for being cool allies and not being garbage people haha, I'm glad I
organize with you all.
