Hey everyone, here are some venue models that I promised I would send over
to you all to consider.

Feeding bands and giving them a drink during travel is something I feel
strongly about.

Another thing that other venues do is to pay back promoters for posters,
and this comes off the top too, so before money is split up.

MODEL 1 - Guarantees
-Guarantee is determined in advance
-Some venues will not pay out more than guarantee, some will
-Food
-Minimum 1-2 drinks

MODEL 2 - "Door Deal"
-bands take "entire" door (that can be percentage or full door.. but it
basically means you get what we make)
-food is not so common, but i would recommend we make feeding touring bands
standard
-drinks are provided because the band doesn't make money from the bar

MODEL 3 - RedGate Model
-door and bar profits are pooled
-staffing/venue costs are set and subtracted
-the profits are split 50% between venue and band
-no food
-no drinks
(i'm not a fan of this model)

MODEL 4 - Fixed Amount regardless of bands
-every touring band who plays there gets paid an exact amount, ex. $250.
-The remaining money is put into a pool that the venue keeps for artist pay
-this ensures that all touring bands are paid fairly, equally, regardless
of draw
-encourages financial support of outsider music
-makes it easy to book bands with an agreed guarantee
-in the case of two touring bands, each band would receive the same amount
($250 per band, not per show).
-food and drinks provided

MODEL 5 - Door/Bar Split (secret location/garbage mountain/jabba's model)
-Venue takes bar profit
-Full Door goes to bands (minus costs)
-Door must pay out a rental fee out of band money, promoter is paid back
for posters, cook is paid back for food costs
-ie

MODEL 6 - version of all models - Local bands
In many of these models, local bands are paid as well, though a small
percentage
