something I forgot to add to the agenda is how we take money from shows.

I've brought this up before but a lot of the really good shows with draw
that we would want to host are difficult for promoters to do at our space
with the money being 50% of the door.

I highly recommend we reduce this to 25%-30% rather than 50% or have a flat
fee. Since we take 100% of the bar, we can make our shows no byob
(especially as we get more legit we will do this, I'll be doing this for
noise fest as a test run).

If we do this I suggest we post online and let people know about the
change. We have people hesitant to book with us because it's a large cut.
If a band with a bigger draw comes through, the promoter wants to pay them
well. 50% is a lot for a struggling travelling band to give up.

I know we need money but I think this model discourages bigger shows from
happening at our space. This might work out financially better for us...
