[Blacklabcollective] Society Stuff

Hey everyone,

I included Legs here so that I don't have to explain again in the meeting
and take up a bunch of time. Good news is that we will probably be somewhat
legal in time for Noise Fest (which was our goal!). Selling beer at events
without a liquor license will always be illegal for us FYI, i think for
small/mid sized shows this is ok. For bigger, more public events, we should
maybe get the license (it's under $50 for a private/ticketed event)

I've made lots of progress about this stuff so I want to give you all a
heads up:

   - Society Name applied for (first step of society incorporation, ie.
   non-profit status.
   - Society application is almost ready to go, i'll need signatures etc.
from everyone this week, so please be available if you can!
   - Regardless of our status, we cannot disturb neighbours so noise
complaints are a continued threat. Sound proofing is a priority.
   - I've researched our zoning and we are good to go as a non-profit with
special events. I'll be applying for a Special Event Liquor License for
Noise Fest as our first licensed event.
   - We will qualify for liquor license because it will be fully ticketed,
   no door tickets.
   - Private Special Event

A private special occasion is an event hosted by a group or organization
that is limited to attendance by:
   -

      An organization’s members or staff
      -

Invited guests or ticket holders (tickets must be sold or given away
      before the event begins)

This occasion may be social, cultural, recreational, religious, sporting
or community event , or a tasting to acquaint people with the product of a
   winery, brewery or distillery.
