[Blacklabcollective] Fundraiser Idea - Tape Comp & 1 year Black Lab Party

OK, i've put lots of thought into this and will be bringing a pretty
complete proposal to the meeting tomorrow. For those of you who like to
think things through before making a decision, here are some details:


   1.

   DATES: SEPT 25/26/27 - Fri & Sat: bands 7-11 (workshops during the day?
   I dunno..), Sun: Brunch/flea market/DJs - 1pm-5pm, Cleanup 5-6pm, Volunteer
   Party 6pm-9pm
   2.

   COST: $20 weekend pass or $12 Fri and Sat each and free entry to the
   flea market
   3.

   This would be an annual fundraiser, no payment to bands, but each band
   member gets 2 beers
   4.

   FESTIVAL COMMITTEE: I suggest we elect a small committee of 3-4 people
   who organize this, I would like to be on that committee of course :) Seeing
   that it's a fundraising, making money would also be a focus for the
   festival.
   5.

   BAND SELECTIONS: Try to get as many volunteer/black lab bands playing as
   possible, but also some bands with draw.
   6.

   GEAR: Black Lab supplies full backline of drums/bass cab/guitar cab
   (rent or borrow), this means less work for the bands playing basically for
   free and also more bands can play so it actually feels like a festival.
   7.

   VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION: Post-Flea Market Volunteer appreciation Pizza
   Party after cleanup, free pizza and beer and a private party maybe with
   some prizes or gifts (ask Audiopile for giftcards/bands for
   records/t-shirts as donations to use as gifts)? to people who have
   volunteered since we opened
   8. PURPOSE: This would be largely a celebration, fundraising effort, and
   also a chance to thank people who have helped by giving them a private
   party.
