[Blacklabcollective] Financial Spreadsheet - Explanation

hey all.
so i just did a count and also punched in the numbers that were written
down in the cash box from the pinner show (had to estimate the booze costs
because the total wasn't written down, just numbers of beers/etc.)
I've updated the spreadsheet accordingly, but there is a bit of an issue,
which is that the total on the spreadsheet and the total in the money box
are different. we are 81$ under where the spreadsheet says we should be at
(spreadsheet total = 1474$, actual total = 1393$). this could be because my
cost estimate for what brendan spent on alcohol was low, but it's a pretty
big discrepancy... also, the discrepancy MIGHT even be bigger than that,
because after the systematik show, the money was counted (on the 18th,
written down in the banking notebook) and it was at 1156$ then, which is
56$ more than it shows on the spreadsheet, plus the plastic cup of money
from the sickener show had $87 more than the $300 listed on the spreadsheet
in it.... so in actuality the discrepancy could be up to just over $200....
we may never know....
in short: we really, really need to be more on top of being financially
organized... it isn't any one person's issue, it's as a whole, things are
just not getting recorded. this spreadsheet will undoubtedly be hugely
helpful in remedying that, but we ABSOLUTELY need to make sure any time we
buy things for the space we get receipts, and that everything gets written
down (in one place, not on scraps of paper that get lost), and that the
counts are sent out after every show, or at the very least put into the
book and/or onto the spreadsheet.
i dont wana stress anyone out or anything but it's important! esp if we
wana be semi-legit eventually... just sending this as full disclosure so
everyone knows what's going on.
