*BHP Billiton Watch 2010*
There are a number of ideas and actions for 2010 to continue on from the
work down in 2009 (see notes below from a meeting between Sakura
Saunders, Richard Solly and Mia Pepper on 12/13 Jan 2010)
*BHP Billiton Watch websites*
There are currently two websites for the BHP Billiton Watch
International campaign. Feedback on websites welcome.

BHP Billiton Watch is an informal network of communities and
organisations across the world who are concerned about the impacts of
the world's largest diversified resources company (active in mining, oil
and gas). We pledge to monitor the company's activities around the world
and expose the difference between the company's rhetoric and the reality
on the ground.
BHP Billiton Watch involves
* Communities facing removal, severe disruption of their cultures
and livelihoods, negative health impacts and long-term pollution
* Workers suffering attacks on their trade union rights
* Solidarity groups
* Human rights and environmental organisations
* Groups concerned about climate change, nuclear weapons and nuclear
waste
* Individual researchers and activists

examine a number of BHP Billiton's operations. Protest BHP Billiton is a
sister website of BHP Billion Watch
<http://bhpbillitonwatch.wordpress.com> an international network sharing
case studies and stories on the adverse impacts of BHP Billiton's
operations on Peoples and the Environment.
