We know the credit for this victory doesn't go to Christy Clark -it goes to the thousands of people like you who were involved in the minimum wage campaign which shamed the BC Liberals to acting. Finally after 10 years the Liberals see they got it wrong on the training wage - but they've got it wrong again with the new tip wage Workers who earn tips are routinely asked to pay for breakage, "dine and dash," or forced to share tips with management. It is a system open to abuse - the minimum wage should be the minimum wage. That's why the Federation helped form the Employee Action & Rights Network to make work better and protect the rights of workers. I'm inviting you to join the EARN network to learn about your rights at work and find out what you can do if you are not being treated fairly. Jim Sinclair, President B.C. Federation of Labour Ps. If you want to continue to be connected with the BC Federation of Labour by email please reply "YES" to this message and we will add your name to the email list. Will your pay go up with the minimum wage increase? Tell us your story -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:
