Be The Change You Want To See In The World

September 8th – October 20th 2009

Opening September 11th 7pm

The Revolution Café will host an exhibition of Interventional Street Art
called “Be The Change You Want To See In The World” from Sept. 8th through
Oct. 20th 2009, with an opening reception Sept. 11th at 7pm.

The exhibit will feature a collection of interventional street art by
Jeremy Novy. This exhibit will contain documentation of four street art
projects that have made communities think differently about urban blight
and decay through the introduction of stenciled images.

In one project the idea of placing large stencils of doors and windows
over boarded up buildings caused a community to change the laws on how
long buildings can remain boarded up. While in another the placement of
stenciled koi fish on the sidewalks covers up old graffiti and paint
splatter.

The Revolution Café is located at 3248 22nd Street, in San Francisco. For
more information on the artist check out www.jeremynovy.com

Hope to see you soon!
