Pour la manifestation annuelle Un statut pour tous et toutes pour les
droits des immigrantEs (le 18 mai 2013), il y aura plusieurs contingents
qui partiront de différents quartiers de Montréal et qui marcheront
jusqu'au centre-ville pour se rassembler au Carré Philips. Vous pouvez lire

Nous organisons une réunion pour toutes les personnes intéressées à aider à
la mobilisation et à l'organisation du contingent qui partira de
Villeray-Parc-Extension. Comme le contingent partira de
Villeray-Parc-Extension, nous invitons aussi tout le monde vivant dans les
quartiers proches à s'impliquer dans l'organisation de ce contingent
(St-Michel, Ahuntsic, Rosemont-Petite-Patrie, Mile End, etc.).

*Notre première réunion d'organisation aura lieu SAMEDI, LE 2 MARS, de 13h
à 15h, au Café l'Artère, au 7000, avenue du Parc.*

Notre proposition d'ordre du jour est: 1) introduction / présentation de la
campagne Un statut pour tous et toutes; 2) choisir un trajet pour notre
contingent (ex.: du métro Jarry au métro Parc au métro Rosemont jusqu'au
centre-ville); 3) mobilisation et communication dans le quartier; 4)
logistique; 5) prochaines réunions.

La réunion sera en français avec de la traduction chuchotée en anglais et
en espagnol. Il y aura aussi un service de garde sur place. Le Café
l'Artère est accessible aux chaises roulantes par une rampe à l'extérieur,
mais les toilettes ne sont pas complètement accessibles.

Les bases d'unité pour cette réunion sont les revendications principales de
la manifestation Un statut pour tous et toutes : 1) que cessent les
déportations et les détentions; 2) un programme de régularisation pour
touTEs les immigrantEs sans statut; 3) non à la double peine; 4) pour la
création et la construction d'une Cité sans frontières à Montréal. Nous
voulons créer un groupe actif de résidentEs et de militantEs du quartier et
qui feront de la mobilisation ensemble dans les prochaines semaines.

As part of this year's Status for All immigrant rights demonstration (May
18, 2013), there will be several contingents starting in various
neighborhood of Montreal, that will march downtown to converge together at
Philips Square. The initial callout for the demo is linked here:

We are organizing a meeting for everyone interested in helping to mobilize
and organize for the contingent that will be starting in
Villeray-Parc-Extension. While the contingent is starting Villeray-Parc X,
we call on everyone living in those neighborhoods as well as nearby areas
to get involved with organizing the contingent (St-Michel, Ahuntsic,
Rosemont-Petite-Patrie, Mile End, etc).

*Our first organizing meeting together will be SATURDAY, MARCH 2 from 1-3pm
at Café Artère at 7000 Avenue du Parc.*

Our tentative agenda is: i) introductions/information about the Status For
All Campaign; ii) determining the route of our contingent (eg: metro Jarry
to metro Parc to metro Rosemont to eventually march downtown); iii)
mobilization and outreach in our neighborhoods; iv) logistics; v) upcoming
meetings.

The meeting will be in French, with whisper translation towards English and
Spanish. There will also be free childcare on-site. Café Artère's main
space is accessible to wheelchairs, with a ramp outside, but the washrooms
are not fully wheelchair accessible.

The basis of unity for this meeting are the main demands of the Status for
All demonstration: i) an end to deportations and detentions; ii) for an
ongoing regularization program for all non-status migrants, meaning Status
For All; iii) opposition to the double punishment of migrants; iv) for
creating and building a Solidarity City in Montreal. We want to create a
group of active neighborhood residents and activists who will mobilize
together in the coming weeks.
