Join Mobilization Against War & Occupation - MAWO in Vancouver, Canada for our monthly rally and petition drive. The rally this month is part of important actions coordinated by the new international Sanctions Kill campaign demanding an end to all sanctions imposed by the United States, Canada and their allies on countries around the world!

The Vancouver rally will also mark 5 years since the U.S./Saudi-led war on Yemen began and 17 years since the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq.

Since March 26, 2013 the brutal U.S./Saudi-led war on Yemen has killed over 100,000 people, creating the world’s largest humanitarian crisis. As people living in Canada, it is crucial that to unite our voices and continue to hold the government of Canada for selling weapons and military equipment to Saudi Arabia and challenge their complicity in the atrocities of the war on Yemen.

Iraqi people have suffered 17 years of U.S.-led war and occupation that has destroyed their infrastructure, healthcare and education systems. They have left the Iraqi people with high rates of unemployment and poverty. On January 6, a vote in Iraqi parliament passed to expel U.S. troops. U.S. President Trump’s response was to threaten economic sanctions on Iraq, before flatly refusing to respect Iraq’s self-determination and demands to leave.
