These events will be taking place on the traditional and unceded territories of the Tsleil-Waututh (səl̓ilwətaɁɬ), the Musqueam (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm), and the Squamish (Skwxwú7mesh) Coast Salish Nations.



((( 1 ))) MAWO ORGANIZING MEETING



TUESDAY April 23

Come join Mobilization Against War and Occupation for an organizing meeting. The meeting will begin with 45 minutes of news clips and multimedia; an overview of US-led wars, occupations and threats, as well as people’s resistance to imperialist attacks and intervention. The videos will especially focus on the struggle of the people of Yemen against four years of U.S.-backed Saudi war, and the people of Venezuela’s resistance to U.S. interventions against their sovereignty and self-determination.



The meeting will include discussion on past MAWO events and actions. This includes a report back from MAWO’s participation in the March 26th demonstration in Ottawa marking 4 years of war on Yemen, and the March 30th mobilization protesting the NATO summit in Washington, DC. The meeting will also plan for upcoming events such as MAWO’s monthly antiwar rally and petition campaign.
