Join Mobilization Against War and Occupation (MAWO) to discuss MAWO’s recent past actions, and planning for upcoming actions, including our monthly antiwar rally and petition drive on May 11 against the US led attack and military intervention in Syria . The meeting will begin with 45 minutes of news clips and multimedia; an overview of US-led wars, occupations and threats, as well as people’s resistance to imperialist attacks and intervention.

On Friday, April 13 2018, the US, UK and Canada bombed the sovereign country of Syria with over 130 cruise missiles in retaliation to the Syrian government alleged use of chemical weapons against their own people. This illegal and criminal attack by these war mongers means more pain and hardship for the people of Syria.

From Syria, Yemen, and Iraq to North Korea and Venezuela, the US-led war machine is escalating and expanding its path of death and destruction around the globe. Now more than ever, it is the time for peace-loving people in Vancouver and around the world to come together. We must continue to educate, organize and mobilize against imperialist wars and occupations.

Once again, the bloody and criminal hands of the axis of devils, the US, UK and France, has attacked a sovereign country, Syria, with a phony and fabricated allegation, only to advance their colonial interests. The US, UK and France pounded Syria, especially Damascus, with more than 130 missiles and air strikes inflicting more pain on this torn apart country, already suffering for more than seven years from war, destruction, and the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people, imposed by mercenary terrorists and foreign military intervention.
