This week, the United Nations reported that there are nearly 700,000 suspected cases of cholera in Yemen, where over 2,000 people have died from the disease since April 27. This outbreak is just one devastating consequence of the two and a half year-long Saudi Arabian-led, US-backed bombing of Yemen. Coupled with a land, air and sea blockade, the humanitarian crisis is worsening day after day! 

The ongoing commitment of the US government to wars and occupations was clear during President Trump’s recent speech at the United Nations. It was full of threats and dangerous provocations, especially against North Korea, Venezuela and Iran. The US Senate also just passed a $700 billion military budget, increasing from last year by $80 billion. 

Now is the time for all peace-loving people to come to the streets against this new era of war and occupation and for self-determination for all oppressed nations!
