This event will take place on the traditional and unceded territories of the Tsleil-Waututh (səl̓ilwətaɁɬ), the Musqueam (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm), and the Squamish (Skwxwú7mesh) Coast Salish Nations.

The US invasion of Afghanistan in 2001, marked the beginning of the new era of war and occupation. Since then, the United States and their allies have been on a deadly march throughout the Middle East and North Africa. For almost 16 years, their brutal war machine has leveled unparalleled destruction upon the people of Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Yemen and Syria. Now, the United States and their imperialist allies, including Canada, are increasing their campaign of intervention, sanctions and threats against Iran, Venezuela and North Korea.

Mobilization Against War and Occupation (MAWO) invites you to join us for a public forum and discussion on Tuesday May 23 to discuss this escalating imperialist aggression and the necessity of building a strong and united antiwar movement!
