After 14 years of US-led war and occupation, Iraq is devastated. More than 11 million people are in immediate need of humanitarian assistance, and 3 million people have been displaced from their homes. From the First Gulf War in 1991 until today, the US government has blanketed Iraq with depleted uranium (DU) bombs and chemical weapons.

Iraq was the second country to come under assault on March 19, 2003, as part of the new era of war and occupation that began with the US-led invasion of Afghanistan in 2001.  Since then, the US government and their imperialist allies have not slowed down the war machine that is devastating people throughout the Middle East and North Africa. Not only have they destroyed Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya they are also waging a brutal proxy war in Syria, as well as backing Saudi Arabia in the assault and bombing campaign against Yemen.

Join with Mobilization Against War and Occupation (MAWO) on Saturday, March 18 as we protest against this criminal war drive! This action is also part of the International Days of Action Against War and Islamophobia called by the Hands Off Syria Coalition.
