Join Mobilization Against War and Occupation’s (MAWO) antiwar organizing meeting. We will discuss past MAWO actions, including report on our participation both at the World Social Forum in Montreal August 9-14 and at an international conference against the U.S.-backed Saudi Arabian bombing of Yemen that took place from August 20-21, 2016 in London, England. We will also plan for upcoming antiwar and anti-occupation actions in Vancouver. The meeting will begin with 45 minutes of recent multimedia and video about U.S.-led wars and occupations around the world.

For more than 18 months, non-stop Saudi-Arabian bombing backed by a land, air and sea blockade has brought untold destruction and misery to the people of Yemen. On Saturday, September 24 Mobilization Against War and Occupation will be in the streets of Vancouver demanding an end to the brutal U.S.-backed Saudi Arabian assault against the people of Yemen. On this day, MAWO will also be appealing to passers-by to sign a petition demanding that the government of Canada cancel its $15 billion arms deal with Saudi Arabia.

Join Mobilization Against War and Occupation (MAWO) for a public forum and discussion on what is at stake in Syria, how the antiwar movement must respond and more. 

The U.S. government is once again trying to pose itself as a peace-maker in Syria, while at the same time continuing its brutal and bloody intervention. In just the last week, the U.S. government and their imperialist allies have bombed and killed more than 60 of the Syrian Army personal; continued supporting ISIS and the so called moderate rebels trying to tear Syria apart; and broken the very ceasefire they claim to support.
