***As Vancouver takes to the streets on Friday March 11th we are uniting with the people of Venezuela who are organizing mass mobilizations on Saturday March 12th against escalating right-wing attacks and U.S. intervention in Venezuela!***

On March 3, 2016 U.S. President Barack Obama once again declared Venezuela to be an “extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States” by renewing an Executive Order against Venezuela that the White House first issued one-year ago. They will use the renewal of this declaration full of lies to justify their continuing campaign of sanctions and intervention in Venezuela.  It is a clear sign that the U.S. is not going to change its policy of promoting and supporting counter-revolution in Venezuela.

It has now been three months since a U.S. supported right-wing National Assembly took office in Venezuela with a majority in parliament. They have used the opportunity to continue their attempts to overturn the gains that poor and working people have made through the Bolivarian Revolution. They are currently trying to impose a new law enabling the privatization of land and state run companies, among many other reactionary measures.

Every day supporters of the Bolivarian Revolution, led by President Nicolas Maduro and the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), are marching on the streets and organizing in all sectors of society to defend the revolution. March 5, 2016 will also mark the 3rd anniversary of the passing of Comandante Hugo Chavez Frias, the original leader of the Bolivarian Revolution.  It is with the
internationalist vision of Comandante Chavez for a better world that we join in demanding an end to U.S. and imperialist intervention in Venezuela!

On Friday, March 11, join Fire This Time in the streets of Vancouver to demand:

> OBAMA REPEAL THE DECREE NOW!
> U.S. HANDS OFF VENEZUELA!
> U.S. RESPECT THE SOVEREIGNTY AND SELF-DETERMINATION OF THE VENEZUELAN PEOPLE!
> LONG LIVE THE VENEZUELAN BOLIVARIAN REVOLUTION!

*** En Vancouver saldremos a la calle el viernes de marzo de 11ª uniéndonos al pueblo Venezolano en las masivas movilizaciones organizadas para el sábado 12 de marzo en contra el aumento de  los ataques de la derecha y la  Intervención EE.UU. en Venezuela***

El 3 de marzo de 2016, el Presidente de Estados Unidos Barack Obama declaró nuevamente que Venezuela era una “extraordinaria amenaza para la seguridad nacional y la política exterior de los Estados Unidos” al renovar una Orden Ejecutiva contra Venezuela emitida por la Casa Blanca hace un año. Utilizarán la renovación de esta declaración llena de mentiras para justificar su campaña de sanciones e intervención en Venezuela. Es una clara señal de que los EE.UU. no van a cambiar su
política de promover y apoyar la contrarrevolución en Venezuela.

Han pasado tres meses desde que la Asamblea Nacional de derecha apoyada por Estados Unidos tomó posesión en Venezuela con la mayoría del parlamento. Han utilizado la oportunidad para continuar sus intentos de revertir los logros que la clase pobre y trabajadora han tenido gracias a la Revolución Bolivariana. Actualmente están tratando de imponer una nueva ley que permita a privatización de la tierra y las empresas dirigidas por el estado, entre otras muchas medidas reaccionarias.

Todos los días, simpatizantes de la Revolución Bolivariana, encabezada por el presidente Nicolás Maduro y el Partido Socialista Unido de Venezuela (PSUV), marchan por las calles y se organizan en todos los sectores de la sociedad para defender la revolución. El 5 de marzo de 2016 marcará además el tercer aniversario de la siembra del Comandante Hugo Chávez Frías, el líder original de la Revolución Bolivariana. ¡Es con la visión internacional del Comandante Chávez para un mundo mejor que nos unimos para exigir el fin de la intervención imperialista de Estados Unidos en Venezuela!
