According to the United Nations Refugee Agency there are more than 65 million refugees around the world today. This is more refugees than any other time in world history! Since the new era of war and occupation began with the 2001 invasion of Afghanistan, tens of millions of people have been forced to flee from the misery and destruction of war, occupation, sanctions and imperialist interventions in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen and throughout the Middle East and North Africa.

Mobilization Against War and Occupation (MAWO) invites peace-loving people to join us to discuss:
>> What are the roots of this refugee crisis?
>> What responsibility do imperialist countries, including Canada, have toward this crisis?
>> How must the antiwar movement respond?

PANELISTS:
> WALA ZAIDAN – Iraqi high school student and poet
> AZZA ROJBI – North African social justice organizer from Tunisia and Executive member of Mobilization Against War and Occupation (MAWO)
> ALISON BODINE – Chair of Mobilization Against War and Occupation (MAWO), editorial board member of the Fire This Time newspaper, writer and researcher on the issue of the refugee crisis in Europe
