International Days of Action to Stop NATO!
Organized during the NATO Summit in Warsaw, Poland July 8-9, 2016

At the beginning of July the government of Canada announced that it has committed to sending 1,000 Canadian soldiers as part of a 4,000-troop NATO force in Eastern Europe. NATO is making no secret that they are flexing their muscles against Russia?.

This build-up of military force comes from the same NATO that bombed and destroyed Yugoslavia and Libya, and continues to assault and occupy Afghanistan. ?On July 6, U.S. President Obama extended the brutal occupation of Afghanistan, announcing that 8,400 U.S. troops that were scheduled to leave by the end of 2016 will remain in Afghanistan as part of the nearly 13,000 troop NATO occupation force.

The announcements from the government of Canada and the U.S. have come in the days leading up to the NATO Summit in Warsaw, Poland. As imperialist leaders from around the world meet to plan for more war, occupation and devastation around the world, protests are being organized in Warsaw and around the world as International Days of Action to Stop NATO.

Join MAWO for a protest in Vancouver on Saturday, July 9 to demand an END to NATO! NO to war and occupation, and YES to self-determination for all oppressed nations!
