Bombing & killing people in Yemen, Inciting war in Syria and Iraq, Occupying Bahrain, Creating Daesh, Killing religious leaders, Provoking Iran, What is Saudi Arabia pursuing in the region?

Since March 2015, a US-backed Saudi Arabia-led coalition has been bombing Yemen nearly daily, killing more than 7,500 and injuring over 14,000 more. Yemen faces a humanitarian crisis with infrastructure destroyed and access to food, water, medicine and fuel cut off by a Saudi imposed blockade. Saudi Arabia is even outright bombing humanitarian aid organizations and hospitals.

The war on Yemen is not the only atrocity committed by Saudi Arabia. In 2011 Saudi troops occupied Bahrain and violently suppressed protests against Bahrain's autocratic regime. As well, the House of Al Saud worked alongside the US to create and aid the rise of various terrorist groups including Daesh in Syria and Iraq. 

The long list of human rights violations within Saudi Arabia is also known - from the utter lack of women's rights to record levels of executions. Recently Saudi Arabia has also received renewed international condemnation for its execution of well known Shia cleric Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr for his role in leading peaceful protests critical of the Saudi government. 

Saudia Arabia also continues to try and provoke tensions with Iran and encourages other countries in the region to do the same.

With a track record like this one must ask, “What is Saudi Arabia pursuing in the Middle East?” Join MAWO for this forum to discuss Saudi Arabia's dangerous agenda and the role of antiwar activists and peace loving people in opposition to Saudi Arabia's war drive.
