Mobilization Against War and Occupation (MAWO) calls peace-loving people in Vancouver to an open general meeting to discuss the recent terrorist attacks in Paris, the Middle East and Africa, the war on Syria and Iraq, the refugee crisis and building an antiwar and anti-occupation movement in Canada.  

MAWO condemns the senseless terrorist attacks committed against innocent people in Paris. We also condemn the recent terrorist attacks claiming the lives of hundreds of people in Lebanon, Iraq and Mali, and the bombing of the Russian airliner over Egypt, all of which has taken place only over the last few weeks. Since the new era of war and occupation began with the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan in 2001, the world has seen increasing death, destruction and devastation at the hands of the massive imperialist war machine. Every day people of the Middle East and North Africa are murdered and terrorized by foreign troops, bombs, drones and sanctions. 

Join Mobilization Against War and Occupation (MAWO) to discuss these important issues and working to build a united movement in Canada against war and occupation abroad and racism, Islamophobia, and attacks on our human and democratic rights and civil liberties here at home.
