USA/SAUDI ARABIA HANDS OFF YEMEN!
REPEAL INHUMAN &
	REPRESSIVE BILL C-51!

Since March 19th, 2015, for exactly
	three months, Saudi Arabia with the backing of the U.S. has carried
	out a brutal, devastating and ongoing bombing campaign against the
	people of Yemen. To date, United Nations estimates put the death
	toll at over 2,600 innocent Yemeni people killed and 11,000 injured.
	On May 31st, Human Rights Watch reported that
	internationally banned cluster bombs
	are being used by Saudi Arabia against the people of Yemen. 
	
	

	
	The people of Yemen
	are facing a humanitarian crisis, suffering from shortages of food,
	water, fuel and medicines because of bombing and the air, land and
	sea blockade. United Nations reports that six million people in
	Yemen are slipping towards severe hunger and now need emergency food
	and life-saving assistance, while another 6.5 million people in
	Yemen are classified as facing a food insecurity crisis.
	
		

		
	
	
		The U.S. and Saudi
		Arabia are not only breaking and undermining international laws but
		also are denying the people of Yemen of their self-determination
		and sovereignty. Yemen's struggle to determine their own future
		free of U.S.-backed regimes is now facing foreign intervention and
		war.
		

		
		The rally will
		also be protesting to repeal the inhuman and repressive Bill C-51,
		which was passed in the Canadian Senate on June 9 despite that the
		majority of people in Canada are opposed to it. Bill C-51 gives the
		government of Canada sweeping powers to apply a vague definition of
		'terrorism' and strips away our human and democratic rights,
		including our right to protest and dissent.
