Middle East!

In
the last four years, the US government has imposed a civil war in
Syria, complete with the US-backed training, arming and funding of
mercenaries who have failed miserably to bring down the independent
and sovereign government of Bashar Al-Assad. The US-installed civil
war in Syria has plunged the country into chaos and has created the
“newest enemy” of the US government – ISIS/ISIL. The US
government escalation of war drive rhetoric against ISIS/ISIL is
nothing but a pretext to expand the occupation from Iraq to Syria in
order to complete their aim of overthrowing the Syrian government and
bringing the whole region under colonial domination. This is a
dangerous military move for a full scale imperialist military
intervention in the Middle East.
Join
MAWO to discuss what is at stake today in Syria, Iraq and the Middle
East. We will also discuss how the antiwar movement must not only
take a strong stand to oppose a US war on Syria but to come together
on the world scale to be able to effectively defeat the war drive
madness of the colonial powers.
