Just over one month ago the United States and Iran
announced the “Iran Deal,” an agreement reached between Iran and the P5+1 countries
- the United States, the United Kingdom, France, China, Russia and Germany,
plus the European Union. This deal came as the culmination of 20 months of intense
negotiations focused on international monitoring of Iran’s nuclear program and
the mechanisms for the lifting of various levels of sanctions against Iran. 

 

Ever since that announcement, international media has
been a storm of theories about the significance and impact of this historic
agreement towards peace. However, there is still much that needs to be
discussed, especially in the context of the current US and imperialist
intervention in the Middle East. 

 

MAWO invites you to join us to discuss the Iran Deal and
many other questions including: 

> What does the Iran Deal signify about US/Iran
relations? 

> What is the impact of the Iran Deal on US-led wars
and occupations in the Middle East and North Africa?

> Is Iran’s nuclear program the real issue at stake?  

> How can the antiwar movement continue to organize
for peace and against all continuing sanctions and threats against Iran,
including Canada’s sanctions against Iran?
