Iraq
 has suffered over two decades of devastation at the hands of U.S. 
imperialism. U.S. sanctions for over a decade prior to the U.S. invasion
 of Iraq were responsible for the deaths of 1.5 million Iraqi people, 
half of which were children. The 2003 U.S. led invasion of Iraq and 11 
years of war and occupation brought further destruction to Iraq and 
killed an unknown number of innocent Iraqi people, estimated to be over 
1.5 million people. Now the U.S. government is bringing it’s tired 
excuses of terrorism to justify tightening its control of Iraq and the 
region. On Thursday June 19th U.S. President Obama announced that 300 
Special Operations troops would be sent to Iraq, besides the 275 U.S. 
troops already sent to the U.S. embassy in Iraq. As well, Obama has 
threatened air strikes and bombing in Iraq. We seen enough of what U.S. 
intervention in Iraq looks like. Peace-loving people and antiwar 
activists must join together to demand NO new U.S. war on Iraq and for a
 complete withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq.
 
Meanwhile, the 
U.S., EU, NATO and Canada are continuing their intervention in Ukraine. 
The February 22nd, 2014 coup against the democratically elected 
president in Ukraine came with the financial and political backing of 
the U.S. government, including funding far-right wing and neo-nazi 
organizations involved in the coup. Now we are seeing the start of a new
 Cold War against Russia, with a U.S.\NATO military buildup in Eastern 
Europe as well as U.S.\EU\Canada imposed sanctions against Russia.
