Since
 July 8, 2014 Zionist Israeli forces have been bombarding Palestinians 
in Gaza with air-strikes and a ground invasion, indiscriminately and 
brutally massacring innocent Palestinian people and destroying homes, 
schools, hospitals, mosques and churches, electrical and water 
infrastructure and industry. Now, after 44 days, Palestinians have 
suffered the death of 2050 people and rising, at least a quarter of 
which are children, and over 10,200 injured. In just the last two days a
 resurgence of bombing by the Zionist regime of Israel have killed at 
least 30 more people, and this is expected to continue with today’s 
statements from Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu that Israel's military
 campaign in Gaza may be an “extended operation.”

This latest 
massacre of Palestinians does not stand on it’s own. For over 66 years 
since 1948 Palestinians have been denied their self-determination, faced
 countless massacres, expulsion from their lands, and have become 
refugees abroad or even in their own land of Palestine under Zionist 
Israeli occupation.

In recent weeks peace-loving people around 
the world have come out in millions to protest of Israel’s attacks on 
Gaza. Marches, rallies, banner and flag drops, even the projection of 
images and slogans on the walls of Israeli and US embassies, have 
expressed the international solidarity with the Palestinian people. This
 Saturday lets come together and stand up for the Palestinian people and
 against Israel’s attacks on Gaza!

“Building A United Anti-War Movement in Canada + US + Internationally”

The
 People’s Social Forum “Build together, Win together! The Future is 
Ours!” is taking place in Ottawa, Canada August 21-24, 2014. This 
grassroots, historical gathering of progressives from Québec, Canada and
 Indigenous Nations is expected to bring together an estimated 10,000 
people for over 500 workshops and assemblies. The People’s Social Forum 
wants to stimulate debate, discussion and further our sense of community

Mobilization
 Against War & Occupation (MAWO) will be hosting a workshop 
discussing the importance of building a broad, strong and united antiwar
 movement in Canada, especially in coordination and collaboration with 
the United States antiwar movement. The importance of the demand of, 
“Self-Determination for all Oppressed Nations!” and the necessity of 
developing an action program within the strategy and tactics of building
 the antiwar movement will also be discussed. Please join us!
