It was with sorrow that many people around the world heard the news of
the passing for Venezuela`s President Hugo Chavez Frias on March 5, 2013.
However, this sorrow soon turned to determination to continue forward with the
ideals and goals put forward by Chavez for the people of Venezuela and for
people of the world. 
 
Under the leadership of Chavez, Venezuela eradicated itself of
illiteracy, provided doctors for many Venezuelans who had never had access to
professional healthcare, and built up a series of “missions” to actively combat
various social issues from high food prices to inadequate homes. But Chavez’
actions in favour of working and oppressed people at home, were matched with
his international policies. 
 
Now, Venezuelans are marching forward with their candidate for the next
election, Nicolas Maduro. Please join Fire This Time Movement for Social
Justice for a special evening to discuss “The Death of Comandante Hugo Chavez
& Revolutionary Continuity in Venezuela”.

Fue con mucho pesar que muchas personas en el mundo escucharon 
la noticia sobre el deceso del presidente de Venezuela Hugo Chávez 
Frías, el 5 de marzo de 2013. Sin embargo, este
 dolor se convirtió muy pronto en la determinación para seguir hacia 
adelante con los ideales y metas propuestos por Chávez para el pueblo 
venezolano y para los pueblos del mundo.

Bajo el liderazgo de
 Chávez, Venezuela erradicó el analfabetismo, proporcionó doctores a 
muchos venezolanos que nunca habían recibido atención profesional de 
salud, y construyó una serie de “misiones” para combatir activamente 
algunos problemas sociales que iban desde los altos precios de los 
alimentos hasta hogares inadecuados. Pero las acciones de Chávez e n 
favor de la clase trabajadora y oprimida en su tierra fueron igualadas 
por sus políticas internacionales.

Ahora, los venezolanos siguen adelante con su candidato para la 
próxima elección; Nicolás Maduro. Por favor, únase al  Movimiento de 
Fire This Time por la Justicia Social para un evento especial para 
discutir “La Muerte del
 Comandante Hugo Chávez y la Continuidad Revolucionaria en Venezuela”  
(“The Death of Comandante Hugo Chavez & Revolutionary Continuity in
