((( 1 ))) VENEZUELA FILM SHOWING

Mobilization
 Against War & Occupation (MAWO) received the following announcement
 from the Consulate General of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in 
Vancouver, and we would like to share it with you.

Adjunto
 se encuentra el afiche/invitación a nuestro próximo evento en 
celebración de la Gloriosa Batalla de Carabobo, la cual definió la 
independencia de Venezuela. Contamos con su presencia y con la de tantas
 personas como ustedes puedan invitar.

Se trata de la película 
venezolana Taita Boves, la cual narra la historia del cruel José Tomás 
Boves, quien luchó del lado de los realistas en la guerra de 
independencia de Venezuela siendo derrotado por el ejército patriota de 
Simón Bolívar. El film es en español con subtítulos en inglés.

Como
 es habitual será de entrada libre y contaremos con deliciosos 
aperitivos venezolanos. El espacio en el salón está limitado a 50 
personas.

Fecha: LUNES 24 DE JUNIO
Hora: 6:30 p.m.
Lugar: PETER KAYE ROOM, LIBRARY SQUARE CONFERENCE CENTRE, 350 WEST GEORGIA STREET, VANCOUVER.

Good afternoon dear friends:

Attached
 is the poster/invitation to our next event which will celebrate the 
Glorious Carabobo Battle which defined Venezuelan independence. We hope 
to see you there, and please feel free to bring other guests.

We 
will be screening the Venezuelan film Taita Boves, that tells the story 
of the cruel José Tomás Boves, a man who fought for Spain during the 
Venezuelan independence war and was defeated by Simón Bolívar’s patriot 
army. The movie is in Spanish with English subtitles. 

There will be Venezuelan snacks. Admission is free, space permitting. The maximum room occupancy is 50 people.

Date: MONDAY, JUNE 24TH.
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Place: PETER KAYE ROOM, LIBRARY SQUARE CONFERENCE CENTRE, 350 WEST GEORGIA STREET, VANCOUVER.

An evening of music, dance, rhymes, and poetry from talented local artists!

Speaker.
Plus: The world famous emcee freestyle challenge!!
