Join with the Free the Cuban 5 Committee-Vancouver for the 91st monthly
protest action to demand freedom  for our  Cuban 5 heroes! This picket action is part
of two actions for the Cuban 5 in Vancouver on June 1st and June 5th (for June
1st rally report please visit:http://www.freethe5vancouver.ca/reports/2013/130601-cubanfive-picket.html). 
The June 5th picket is in solidarity with the second  '5 Days for the Cuban 5' campaign, a series of actions for freedom of
the Cuban 5 taking place in Washington DC from May 30 - June 5, organized by
the International Committee to Free the Cuban 5 (http://www.thecuban5.org). 

On Wednesday June 5th, the second  '5 Days for the Cuban 5' campaign will come to
a close with organizers and supporters discussing and planning future work and
actions in the continuing struggle to free all the Cuban 5 heroes.  Add your voice in 
Vancouver to the international campaign for
the freedom of all of the Cuban 5 as we demand:

WHO ARE THE 5 CUBAN HEROES?

Gerardo Hernández, Ramón Labañino, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando González and René
González, also known as the Cuban 5, are currently serving outrageously long
sentences, including even a double-life sentence plus fifteen years, in the
United States. They were wrongly accused and convicted in a U.S. Federal Court
of “conspiracy to commit espionage” and other fabricated charges. The 5 were
actually unarmed men involved in monitoring Miami-based terrorist
organizations, which since 1959 have been responsible for the deaths of over
3,400 people in Cuba, including one resident of Canada, Fabio di Celmo, in
1997. Through their important work, these 5 men were able to prevent further
deaths in Cuba.
