*** INTERNATIONAL DAY OF ACTION ~ HANDS OFF SYRIA! ***




For over two years Syria has been torn apart by a civil war
fomented by the U.S. and other colonial powers. The anti-government forces and
mercenaries in Syria have long been receiving funding and arms from
imperialists and their regional allies such as Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Qatar.
In late June, the Wall Street Journal released the news that the C.I.A. has a
new plan of directly providing weapons to mercenaries, from bullets and guns to
anti-tank missiles. Not only is the C.I.A. providing weapons, but under this
plan they will be training hundreds of these ultra reactionary mercenaries in
Jordan each month before sending them into to Syria, in preparation for a
larger U.S. backed attack against Syria.




Meanwhile, in Turkey, an ally of the United States and NATO,
there are six NATO controlled and commanded Patriot missile batteries stationed
on the border with Syria since early February 2013. Israel is also taking part
in this imperialist war drive against Syria. On July 5th the last
airstrike against Syria was attributed to Israel, making it the 4th known airstike by Israel against Syria this year.




Peace-loving people and antiwar activists must stand up
against this latest front of imperialist war mongering that has targeted Syria.
Mobilization Against War & Occupation (MAWO) has endorsed the international
call to action to oppose the U.S.\NATO\Israeli war on Syria, initiated by
various antiwar groups in the U.S. We encourage you to join us in this united
effort to demand:




~ Imperialists Hands Off Syria!

~ Stop the U.S./NATO/Israeli war and all forms of
intervention against Syria!

~ Self-determination for the Syrian people!

~ Fund people’s needs, not the military!

~ U.S. Out of the Middle East!

~ Canada Out of the Middle East!
