Join us for this week’s MAWO organizing meeting to plan for upcoming antiwar events and actions. This meeting will have special focus on organizing for this year's 10th Annual International Film Festival 4 Peace which also marks 10 years since the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003. The meeting will begin with 45min of news clips and videos showing the past two weeks of imperialist threats, sanctions, bombings, wars and occupations as well as the resistance of millions of people all around the world to these attacks.

In 2003, in the same year that Iraq was invaded, occupied and people around the world joined the struggle against this criminal and bloody war, MAWO held the first Film Festival for Peace. A decade since the festival was started, MAWO has screened hundreds of films documenting wars, occupations and the struggle of oppressed people for self-determination and a better world. Thousands of people have attended this one of a kind, free, festival complete with film, special guest speakers, art exhibits and more, and this year is not to missed!

Let’s unite to make this a year of struggle against war and occupation, and a year of building a better world!
