Featured Speaker ~ Nita Palmer, author of “War and Occupation in Afghanistan” (Battle of Ideas Press) who has written extensively on Middle East politics and is a member of the Editorial Board of the Fire This Time Newspaper

For the past 22 months, the bloodshed and destruction in Syria has filled daily reports by the mass media.  Foreign governments, including Canada’s, have imposed crippling sanctions on Syria while a civil war rages on. This has been accompanied by numerous international meetings on Syria and calls by imperialist governments for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to step down. For peace-loving people, all of this increasing attention on Syria raises the question, "Who's Behind the Civil War in Syria?"

Join MAWO to discuss this important question, as well as:

>> What is the agenda of the U.S. government and their allies for Syria and the Middle East?
>> What can peace-loving people in Canada do to build an anti-war movement against the human devastation and destruction being forced upon Syria?
