The latest war on Gaza is now entering
the 7th day of the continuous air strikes by the Israeli
Zionist regime. According to the Israeli Defence Force (IDF) 1,350
aerial and sea attacks have been launched against Gaza since the
assault began on November 14th. This criminal and vicious
bombardment is responsible for killing over 112 Palestinians and
wounding over 900, many of whom are children. Apartment blocks,
schools and even a building housing Palestinian and international
media have been damaged, destroyed and reduced to rubble. This war
against Gaza is escalating as the threat and preparation of a ground
invasion looms. Following the recent calling up of 75,000 Israeli
military reservists, now Israeli troops, tanks and military equipment
are amassing on the border of Gaza for a military invasion and to
kill more Palestinian people. 




The Prime Minister of Canada Stephen
Harper had some strong words in response to the situation, of course
not to condemn the brutal killing of Palestinians but in full support
of the Zionist regime. Harper said on Friday November 16th
“We recognize and support Israel’s right to defend itself against
such terrorist attacks...” 




This latest war against Gaza is one of
the many massacres that Palestinian people have faced in over 64
years of Zionist Israeli occupation of their land. From before 1948
and continuing today, the heroic Palestinian people have resisted the
occupation of their land. Now more than ever, it is critical that all
people who support peace, justice and humanity unite together to
demand an end to the Zionist Israeli war on Gaza, that the Israeli
regime stops the killing of Palestinians, and to join in calling for
self-determination for Palestine.

Tunisian social justice activist, student organizer and MAWO
Executive Committee member. She will speak on:
“Palestinian Struggle for
Self-Determination and Gaza's Resistance to the Israeli Blockade and
Occupation in the Context of Mass Revolutionary Movements in the
Middle East and North Africa.” 




>> Noah Fine - young anti-zionist
Jewish activist. He has been active in the social justice movement,
including in various college and university campuses and in student
union activism for Palestinian rights. Also he has been the
coordinator of the Free the Cuban 5 Committee Vancouver since 2007.
He will speak on:
“Why Jewish People in the Middle East
and Around the World Need to Oppose Zionism and Defend
Self-Determination for Palestinian People?”



>> Ali Yerevani – political
editor of the Fire This Time newspaper and the Battle of Idea's
Press. Ali was a participant in the 1979 Iranian Revolution. He has
been involved in campaigning for Palestinian rights for more than 30
years in the Middle East, Europe, the US and Canada. He will speak
on:
“What is Behind Israel's Latest War
on Gaza? Why We Need an Ongoing and Consistent Solidarity Campaign
for Palestine.”
