Palestinian Struggle for Self-Determination!

>From the Balfour Declaration (1917) to al-Nakba and Deir
Yassin massacres (1948) and the formation of Israel, from the Sabra and Shatila
massacre (1982) and the Palestinian Intifada resistance to the imprisonment of
the whole Gaza Strip - What have we learned from history and what are the tasks
of the antiwar movement in Canada and beyond?

May 15, 2012 marked the 64th anniversary of
“Al-Nakba,” known in English as “The Catastrophe.” This day, on which the state
of Israel was established, was marked with the violent theft of Palestinian
land, indiscriminate and brutal massacres and forced expulsion of Palestinian
people, which from the time of Al-Nakba to today is continuing against
Palestinians.

Join MAWO to discuss the history, conflicts, and struggle
that the heroic Palestinian people have lived, resisted and fought through for over
six decades, and the role of the antiwar movement in Canada in the struggle for
self-determination for Palestine.

TUESDAY May 29th
