Military intervention, war, occupation, plunder, and exploitation – all on the agenda of imperialist powers during last weekend’s NATO summit in Chicago. The NATO summit focused especially on plans for continuing to “support” Afghanistan after the discussed 2014 withdrawal, as well as the NATO campaign in Libya last year.

As imperialist powers set this agenda of destruction and continue to beat the drums of war against Iran and Syria, we as peace loving people have our own agenda – one of self determination, an end to war, and peace.

The crippling sanctions, maneuverings and ever growing threats of attack against both Iran and Syria coming from NATO, the US, Canada and other imperialist governments must be stopped. These attacks have come hand in hand with a rising military budget and continued cuts to social services here at home.

During this time of increasing wars it is especially important to come out onto the streets, and to support Bradley Manning, the accused Wikileaks Whistleblower currently on trial in the US for exposing US and imperialist war crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan. We encourage peace-loving people in Vancouver to join to demand an end to the US/Canada/UN/NATO aggression against Iran and Syria and to support the Free Bradley Manning Campaign Vancouver.
