A dangerous game of maneuverings and negotiations,
posturing, and threatening statements is taking place in the United Nations Security
Council at the expense of the sovereign country of Syria. While a UN mission
tasked with monitoring the ceasefire in that country is being discussed,
imperialist countries at their "Friends of Syria" meeting in Paris have
threatened more harmful sanctions and potential military intervention against
Syria. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has also stated the need for UN planes,
helicopters and military equipment, increasing the threat of a foreign military
intervention in Syria.






 






The United States is also stepping up its threats
of war against Iran with the deployment of two aircraft carriers, their battle
groups, and several submarines to the Persian Gulf. The U.S. and their allies
are indeed in preparation of another criminal and destructive war in the Middle
East.






 






Meanwhile, Bradley Manning, a 24-year old
US Army Intelligence analyst, awaits trial in the U.S. for leaking over 260,000
classified U.S. diplomatic cables to WikiLeaks, exposing U.S. war crimes,
including documents that have come to be known as the Afghan War Diary and the
Iraq War Logs. For this courageous act of exposing these war crimes, Bradley
has already been in a U.S. prison for two years and faces 22 charges which could
result in life in prison or the death penalty.






 






We encourage peace-loving people in
Vancouver to join to demand an end to the aggression against Iran and Syria and
to support the Free Bradley Manning Campaign Vancouver.
