After two days of debate and discussion with over 300 people, 10 workshops, 12 guest speakers and 2 documentary films, join us for a special cultural celebration and tribute to our 5 Cuban Heroes and the world-wide struggle for their freedom from United States prisons.

DOCUMENTARY:
* WILL THE REAL TERRORIST PLEASE STAND UP? * Directed by: Saul Landau * This powerful documentary shows U.S. history against Cuba involving the CIA, violence, and the case of 5 Cubans serving long unjust sentences in U.S. prisons. The film features an interview with Gerardo Hernandez, one of the Cuban 5 who is currently serving 2 life sentences in Victorville Maximum Security Prison for “conspiracy to commit espionage” and “conspiracy to commit murder.” Landau also interviews Luis Posada Carriles, Orlando Bosch, and others who have acknowledged perpetrating acts of terrorism against Cuba calling themselves “freedom fighters.” Delightful surprises include appearances in the film by Fidel Castro and Danny Glover.

FEATURED SPEAKERS & GREETINGS:
* Dr. Aleida Guevara  - Havana, Cuba
Cuban revolutionary leader, a paediatrician, prominent author of the book, “Chavez, Venezuela and the New Latin America” and daughter of the legendary Ernesto Che Guevara. Aleida will also be reading a letter and poem from Antonio Guerrero written especially for the 4th Vancouver International Che Guevara Conference. 

* Tim Louis - Vancouver, Canada
Tim Louis is a practicing lawyer who has been actively involved in Vancouver civic politics for over twenty-five years. He is currently running with the Coalition of Progressive Electors (COPE) for a position on Vancouver City Council. Tim is a long-time supporter of the international campaign to Free the Cuban 5.
