Announcing the British Columbia Aid Network For Cuba (BCANC)!
http://www.bcanc.net

Dear Friends and Supporters of Cuba,

Last month in British Columbia, Canada a new Network was formed. The British Columbia Aid Network For Cuba (BCANC), is an exciting new initiative that has come together from all over British Columbia to collect aid for the Pastors for Peace Caravan to Cuba. We are looking for assistance from all peace and social justice minded people in BC to join us in collecting aid for the annual Caravan to Cuba. Our campaign for this year will lead up to the Caravan crossing at the BC/United States border on July 3, 2011. We hope you will take the time to read the information below and get involved!

>> What is the BC Aid Network for Cuba?
We have three fundamental goals for helping to make the annual Cuban Caravan a great success:

1. Collecting aid from across British Columbia to send to Cuba.
2. Collecting financial donations, especially fundraising, across BC to help pay the cost of getting the aid all the way from BC to Cuba.
3. Encouraging peace and social justice minded people to get involved on different levels of the annual Pastors for Peace Caravan, including travelling with the Caravan through the US and Mexico to Cuba.

	>> What is the Pastors for Peace Caravan to Cuba?
This summer, for the 22nd time, the Pastors for Peace Friendshipment Caravan to Cuba will challenge the United States government's economic and travel blockade on Cuba, that has been imposed for the last 50 years. The Caravan will travel through up to 140 cities in the US and Canada, raising awareness about the US blockade and gathering humanitarian aid to take to Cuba. Participants will then spend nine days in Cuba, participating in a variety of educational and cultural events. For more information on the Caravan please visit: www.pastorsforpeace.org

>> What items should be sent?
When sending solidarity to Cuba it is essential that all items collected must be new or in excellent condition, clean and rust free. This is not an opportunity to clean out junk from garages and basements. If it's not good enough for you and your family, please do not send it to our Cuban brothers and sisters. For a full list of important items and items we are unable to take please visit:
