On the 8th anniversary of the US-led invasion, war and occupation of Iraq, the US opened another chapter in the New Era of War and Occupation ~ which started in March 2003 ~ in the Middle East and North Africa with a massive bombing campaign against Libya. For 8 years the United States and its allies have occupied Iraq, killing over 1 million Iraqis, and now the guns are also pointed towards Libya. In August 2010 Barack Obama announced an end to the US military mission in Iraq despite 50 000 US troops remaining. Please join Mobilization Against War & Occupation (MAWO) as we discuss these issue.
