A special event with Vancouver Communities in Solidarity with Cuba (VCSC)

1150 Commercial Drive (at William St.)
Vancouver, Canada

Along with delicious coffees, sweets and beautiful poetry, dance and music, the evening also features Nada +, Cuba's 2003 Oscar entry that combines visual humor, poetry and a light-hearted love story. The film follows Carla Perez, a young postal service worker, as she helps her fellow Cubans find happiness and love through letters, while at the same time she is falling in love herself. Winner of the Dramatic Grand Jury Prize - Miami Film Festival; Winner of First Prize at the Naples Film Festival, Italy.

This event is by donation. Refreshments will be served and attendees are also encouraged to purchase something to eat or drink from Joe's Cafe.

Acompañando con cafés deliciosos,dulces,bella poesía, danza y música, la noche también estará acompañada con la presentación de Nada +, el cual fue entrada del Oscar en el 2003, este combina humor visual, poesía y una historia de amor alegre. La película sigue a Carla Pérez, una joven trabajadora del servicio postal que ayuda a sus compatriotas a encontrar la felicidad y el amor a través de cartas, mientras que al mismo tiempo ella comienza a enamorarse de ella misma. Ganador del Gran Premio del Jurado Dramático - Festival de Cine en Miami, ganador del Primer Premio en el Festival de Cine de Nápoles, Italia.

Este evento es por donación. Se servirán refrescos y los asistentes también se les anima a comprar algo para comer o beber en Joe's Cafe.
