On January 14, 2011 the people of Tunisia rose up and overthrew the US and European backed corrupt and despotic government of Tunisia in a mass movement that had been building for several weeks. Since then, the powerful mass movement has spread to other countries in North Africa and the Middle East. The most significant has been the popular mass movement in Egypt which has shut the country down and opened a new era of revolution and counter revolution for the past two weeks.

Join Mobilization Against War & Occupation (MAWO) to continue the discussion on:

>> What are the roots and causes of this mass struggle in North Africa and the Middle East?
>> What has been the U.S. and other imperialist countries' role in causing this deep social and political crisis?
>> Why is the mainstream media trying to distort the ongoing struggle in the region, especially in Egypt?
>> How should we support and build the solidarity movement at home?
>> How does this historical moment effect the antiwar movement at home?

Screening 45 minutes of documentary and news clips followed by speakers and discussion
