After over five months of Canada, US
and NATO bombing and so called “humanitarian intervention” in
Libya, NATO armed, trained and directed Libyan rebels now claim
control of the capitol city, Tripoli. This latest development was
preceded by a full force bombing campaign of the city by NATO that
left an estimated 2,000 civilians killed and devastated the
infrastructure to the point where 70 percent of residents have
critical shortages of water and electricity. Currently NATO has moved
on to “clearing the way” for rebels as they make their way
towards Sirte, which translates to another intensified bombing
campaign on that city, and the killings of hundreds of innocent
people.
