We invite you to participate in the MAWO monthly rally where we will be doing
multiple petitioning: Stop Bombing Libya! No to Sanctions on Syria, Libya
and Iran!

For nearly six months Canada,
NATO and the US have dropped
over 16,000 bombs on Libya.
The attacks were justified by UN Resolution 1973 to “protect civilians” through
a “no-fly zone”. This last week has been the worst of the NATO attacks on Libya
as at least 2,000 civilians have been killed through an intensified bombing
campaign in Tripoli, Sirte, Brega and other cities. These NATO attacks have
been in coordination with NATO armed, trained and directed opposition Libyans who
have helped to seize control of much of the country. While this bloodbath and
massacre of Libyans continues, these same NATO forces are preparing for their
next target: Syria.





 





After 10 years of war and occupation in Afghanistan, 8 and a
half years in Iraq, 7 and a half years in Haiti, 63 years in Palestine, and the
opening of new wars across Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East – the
madness needs to stop immediately.
