** Report Back from the 2010 Che Guevara Volunteer Work Brigade to Cuba **

In April/May 2010 a group of 35 people travelled to Cuba to participate in the Ernesto Che Guevara Volunteer Work Brigade. These people literally hailed from across Canada - Vancouver Island to Halifax. They came together to volunteer in Cuba, to learn from the gains of the Cuban revolution and to have fun! 

On Friday October 8 many of the Vancouver Brigadistas will gather together to give a report on their exciting trip. There will be a multi-media presentation, poetry, refreshments and other surprises!

** Report Back 21st Pastors for Peace Caravan to Cuba! **

In July 2010, 8 British Columbians had the good fortune to join the 21st Pastors for Peace Caravan to Cuba. Over 85 Caravanistas from across the United States and around the world, joined together to raise awareness throughout the United States about the cruelty of the illegal US blockade against Cuba. Along with over 100 Tones of aid for Cuba, the Caravanistas visited the Island of Cuba and learned firsthand about the impacts of the blockade on Cuba and the revolutionary spirit of resistance and creativity that Cuba has used to overcome the difficulties imposed on them.

On Friday October 15th please join the 2010 Caravanistas as they recount their amazing trip!

This event will also feature a special commemoration of the late Reverend Lucius Walker. Lucius was a founder and leader of the Caravan to Cuba who passed away recently, on September 7, 2010. We will take a moment at the report back from the Caravan to reflect on this man’s important contributions in the struggle to build a better and more just world for all of humanity.

**Reporte del regreso de la Brigada de Trabajo Voluntario Che Guevara 2010 en Cuba**

En abril y mayo del 2010 un grupo de 35 personas viajaron a Cuba para participar en la Brigada de Trabajo Voluntario Che Guevara. Estas personas, literalmente de diferentes partes de Canadá desde la Isla de Vancouver hasta Halifax se reunieron para ir como voluntarios a Cuba, con el fin de aprender de Cuba y divertirse.

El viernes 8 de octubre se reunirán la mayoría de los brigadistas de Vancouver para dar un informe acerca su viaje. Habrá una presentación multimedia, poesía, bebidas y muchas sorpresas más.

**Informe del  regreso de Cuba de la XXI Caravana Pastores por la Paz **

En el mes de julio de 2010 8 personas de BC tuvieron la suerte de unirse a la XXI Caravana Pastores por la Paz. Más de ochenta y cinco personas de diferentes partes de Estados Unidos y del todo el mundo se unieron para crear conciencia en los Estados Unidos acerca de la crueldad del bloqueo ilegal que tiene EU contra Cuba. Con cerca de más 100 tolenadas de ayuda para Cuba, estos Caravanistas visitaron la isla de Cuba y conocieron de primera mano los efectos del bloqueo sobre Cuba, y al mismo tiempo aprendieron del espíritu revolucionario de la resistencia y de la creatividad que Cuba ha utilizado para superar las dificultades que se les impone.

El viernes 15 de octubre los invitamos a que nos acompañe a escuchar la increíble experiencia del viaje de los Caravanistas del 2010.

Este evento contará con un homenaje especial al fallecido reverendo Lucius Walker. Lucio fue el fundador y líder de la Caravana a Cuba, y falleció recientemente el pasado 7 de septiembre de 2010. Durante el reporte de la Caravana se tomará un espacio para reflexionar sobre las contribuciones destacadas que hizo este luchador social para construir una mejor y más justa humanidad.
