On November 16, 2010 Canada’s war in Afghanistan was yet again extended by the government of Canada, from the previous withdrawal date of 2011, now extended to 2014. Time and time again, the government of Canada has extended their war in Afghanistan. For over nine years Canada, the US and NATO have been militarily occupying Afghanistan despite growing opposition to the war both in Afghanistan and here at home. Additionally, 2010 has been the deadliest year for Afghan civilians who have been victim to the occupation forces’ killings, rape, torture, aerial bombings, raids, checkpoints and detentions. Just this October, over 1000 bombs were dropped on Afghanistan, wiping out whole villages.


2010 has also seen the US, Canada and other imperialist allies increase their sanctions, threats and propaganda campaign against Iran. With well over 1.5 million Iraqis killed due to the US occupation, and unknown tens of thousands of Afghans killed, now the US and their allies are targeting Iran towards a path of even more destruction.


These wars continue to claim so many innocent lives and cause misery and suffering for people in Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine, Haiti and beyond. It is the duty of peace, human rights and social justice activists to unite to demand and end to these wars and occupations, and prevent these same powers from attacking Iran. Join Mobilization Against War & Occupation (MAWO), whether it be raining, shining or snowing, to demand:

US HANDS OFF Iran!
END THE OCCUPATIONS of Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine and Haiti!
SELF DETERMINATION for Indigenous Nations, Tamils, and All Oppressed Nations!
US HANDS OFF Pakistan & Yemen!
US HANDS OFF Latin America!
