PUBLIC FORUM:

Torture, Checkpoint Shootings, and Civilian Death Toll:
What Does the Released Wikileaks Documents Mean for the Ongoing War and Occupation of Iraq?

WEDNESDAY November 3
7pm
Joe's Cafe ~ in the Large North Hall
1150 Commercial Drive (at William St.)
Vancouver, Canada

On October 22 Wikileaks released over 390 000 military documents exposing US crimes and killings in Iraq. This international exposure of the war in Iraq comes on the heels of US President Barack Obama announcing that the military mission in Iraq came to an end as of August 2010. With 50 000 US troops plus tens of thousands of US mercenary troops remaining in Iraq, many questions remain regarding the current situation for Iraq, as well as its future:

>> Is the US/UK War on Iraq coming to an end?
>> Will the Wikileaks release change the nature of the war in Iraq?
>> What do these released documents reveal?
>> How should the antiwar movement respond to this Wikileaks release and scandal?

Screening 45 minutes of documentary and news clips followed by speaker and discussion

Speaker: Andrew Barry, MAWO Co-Chair and Spokesperson
