As 2010 progresses, more boots are hitting the ground in Afghanistan from the over 30,000 US troop increase announced by US President Obama in December 2009. Along with more troops, came Operation Moshtarak in southern Afghanistan, which is the largest military offensive in Afghanistan since the occupation began. What are imperialist forces in planning for Afghanistan? What is the situation for Afghan people after over eight and a half years of occupation? How must the antiwar movement respond to the recent escalation of war in Afghanistan?
